Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8/21/2025

This Privacy Policy describes how InterviewHub (the “Platform”) collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal information when you use our website and services.

1. Scope

This policy applies to all users of InterviewHub’s web application and associated services, including interview simulations, session monitoring, credit purchases, and subscriptions.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Account Information: Email address, display name, authentication identifiers (via Firebase Authentication).
  • Usage and Service Data: Interview configuration choices (e.g., company focus, difficulty), session metadata (conversation/session IDs, timestamps), transcript snippets you optionally submit via text, problem visibility interactions, and credit consumption events.
  • Payment and Billing: Processed by Stripe. We receive non-sensitive metadata (e.g., plan IDs, credit package identifiers, subscription status) but do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Files You Upload: Optional CV uploads for behavioral interviews.
  • Device and Technical Data: Browser type, OS, IP-derived region, and basic diagnostics/logs to maintain service quality.
  • Cookies: Authentication and session cookies; future analytics cookies (see Cookie Policy).

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate you and maintain secure sessions.
  • To deliver interview simulations (coding and behavioral) and related features such as transcripts and problem revelation tools.
  • To manage credits and subscriptions, including real-time credit monitoring and session termination when credits are exhausted.
  • To process payments and subscription changes through Stripe.
  • To provide support, detect fraud/abuse, and improve performance and reliability.
  • To develop new features and improve the Platform based on aggregated usage insights.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

  • Service Providers: We use trusted processors such as Firebase (authentication), Stripe (payments), and infrastructure providers to operate the Platform.
  • Analytics: We plan to implement Google Analytics in the future to understand usage trends. When enabled, we will update our Cookie Policy and obtain consent where required.
  • Legal: We may disclose information to comply with legal processes, enforce our Terms, or protect users’ rights and safety.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may be transferred as part of the transaction.

6. Security

We employ industry-standard security practices, including HTTPS encryption in transit, role-based access controls, limited data retention, and provider-grade protections from Firebase and Stripe. See our Security & Data Protection Statement for more details.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described, including providing the service, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Interview session records and credit transactions are kept as needed for auditability.

8. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and provider safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect personal data.

9. Your Rights

  • Access, correct, or delete your account data.
  • Portability, restriction, or objection (where applicable).
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential processing (e.g., analytics) at any time.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
